Overview

This compact fingerprint reader adds Windows Hello biometric authorisation to your PC or laptop. It provides quick, secure access to Windows, apps, data and supported websites without typing a password.

Compatibility and setup

The module supports Microsoft Windows 10 and above on both 32‑bit and 64‑bit systems and is available in USB‑A or Type‑C variants. After installing and registering a fingerprint you can still use your original password or PIN, and you won’t need to register the same fingerprint again when you reconnect the device.

FAQs & troubleshooting

If you prefer, you can continue to sign in using your existing password or PIN alongside the fingerprint option. If you see an error during fingerprint registration it can be caused by certain system installations; creating a new user account and enabling Windows Hello for that account should resolve the issue.
